I grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles, got my BA in Studio Art from Humboldt State University in California, and my MFA in Painting at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2005 I was an Artist-in-Residence at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin and at the Karl Hofer Gesellschaft in Berlin. My work has been shown in cities including Berlin, Dublin, New York, Seattle, Chicago, and Washington D.C. I have lived in Seattle since 2006, in an old elementary school that was turned into artist live/work spaces. In 2010 I became a member of SOIL artist-run gallery.
